YT driver's licence
All new drivers must go through the Graduated Driver Licensing Program to get a Yukon driver's licence. To enter the program, you need to be at least 15 years old and pass a sign and written test, and also pass a vision test. There are three stages you'll have to complete: the learner, novice, and full driver stages of the GDLP. The written test fee is $20. If you don't pass, you can re-take it the following day for a separate fee. Once you pass the written test, you'll take the vision test and get your learner's licence. You'll then need to log 50 hours of driving practice with a co-driver (this takes a minimum of 6 months). See this link for the co-driver requirements. Once are at least 16 years old, have had your learner’s licence for 6 months and accumulated 50 hours of driving time, you'll be able to take your road test. Use the practice tests below to prepare for your Yukon written test.
